- The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) will conduct fire hydrant maintenance and flushing from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. March 28-29, 2025, in the Santa Teresa, NM area to ensure hydrants operate properly. Residents in the Santa Teresa Country Club area are advised that efforts to suppress a structure fire on Magic Shadow Loop near Feather Moon Drive could temporarily result in discolored water as a high volume of water moving through the water lines can disturb naturally occurring mineral deposits in the system. Although the water is safe to consume, CRRUA recommends waiting until the water clears to do laundry. To help clear the lines of discolored water, residents can flush their water lines by running outdoor fausetts for approximately ten minutes. If the water discoloration continues after the fire is out, residents should report the issue to the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority, CRRUA by calling (575) 332-1076.
