According to tests results from an independent laboratory certified by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED), arsenic was Not-Detected (ND) in the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority’s (CRRUA) monthly operational control tests for November 2025.

Not-Detected means that while arsenic was present, the concentration in the samples tested was too low to reliably measure based on the analytical procedure used.

The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) Board of Directors has approved temporary relief measures to support customers experiencing financial hardship caused by the recent federal government shutdown. The policy allows for the temporary suspension of disconnections for those directly affected, waives late fees for those directly affected and allows impacted customers to make payment arrangements.

Residents may notice temporary discoloration as water flows return to normal. This is due to naturally occurring minerals in the system and should clear up shortly. Running cold water for a few minutes can help speed up the process.

UPDATE: Water Service Restored on San Gabriel Dr. - November 8th at 1:50 PM

Water Service on San Gabriel Dr. between the 2700 and 2800 block has been restored. After repairs, customers may notice discoloration due to naturally occurring minerals in the distribution system. CRRUA recommends waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry. The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, customers should run cold water for several minutes. 

CRRUA will be closed from noon to 2 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2025. 

Water service is restored in the Victory Lane area between Quinella Road and Derby Road. Crews with the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) have completed repairs to a broken water main.
