A 3% increase in water and wastewater rates will take effect at the beginning of calendar year 2027. This adjustment is part of the rate increases approved by the CRRUA Board on November 10, 2025.

City of Sunland Park and CRRUA to Host Joint "Utility Night Out"

The City of Sunland Park and the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) are partnering to host a joint Utility Night Out community event on July 30, 2026. The event will take place at the Sunland Park Sports Complex, located at 4700 McNutt Road, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

The initiative offers residents a single location to connect directly with regional utility providers and support agencies. Representatives from the City, CRRUA, El Paso Electric, New Mexico Gas Company, Conterra Networks, and the South Central Solid Waste Authority will be present to assist attendees.

Staff at information booths will answer questions regarding monthly billing, share practical methods for reducing household utility costs, and provide enrollment information for regional financial assistance programs. Additionally, CRRUA staff will distribute free water-saving tools to attendees while supplies last.

Admission to the event is free. Residents who have specific questions regarding their accounts are encouraged to bring their recent utility statements to facilitate direct inquiries with provider representatives.
