CRRUA thanks the public for their patience during the temporary road closure at the intersection of Futurity Drive and Trifecta Drive. The closure caused traffic delays while critical repairs were completed.
On May 14, 2026, CRRUA responded to a reported sinkhole and discovered a collapsed wastewater manhole beneath the roadway. During repairs, additional nearby manholes previously identified for rehabilitation were addressed. Challenging conditions, including a high groundwater table, required dewatering and extended the repair timeline.
In addition to repairing the collapsed manhole, nearby structures were rehabilitated and coated with a protective lining system to extend their service life and reduce future maintenance needs.
Completing these repairs concurrently improved efficiency, reduced future disruptions, and avoided higher emergency repair costs, resulting in savings of public funds.
All manhole rehabilitation associated with the project is complete. Asphalt restoration is underway, and the intersection is expected to reopen to traffic on June 16, 2026, pending final paving and weather conditions.
CRRUA continues to prioritize infrastructure improvements to maintain reliable service, protect public health, and manage long-term costs.
