A 3% increase in water and wastewater rates will take effect at the beginning of calendar year 2027. This adjustment is part of the rate increases approved by the CRRUA Board on November 10, 2025.

Raul Rangel, a Level III Water and Wastewater Operator, represented the City of Sunland Park and the utility team at the Bill Childress Elementary Career Day.
Rangel presented "What Happens After You Flush?" to students, explaining the technical processes and essential services provided by municipal operators.
