The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) will be performing water system preparation and a planned water main repair beginning Monday, March 2, 2026, with final repairs targeted for Wednesday, March 4, 2026. This work is necessary to maintain system reliability and protect public health.
The primary outage area is the Meadow Vista Subdivision; however, adjacent subdivisions may also be affected depending on operational requirements necessary to safely isolate and complete the repair.
As part of the repair operations, CRRUA crews will conduct advance field activities to prepare the system for shutdown and repair.
As service is restored, customers may notice discoloration due to naturally occurring minerals in the distribution system. CRRUA recommends waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry. The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, customers should run cold water for several minutes.
Monday – March 2, 2026, from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
CRRUA crews will begin field preparation activities, including exercising valves and preparing the system for isolation.
Customers may experience:
- Temporary water discoloration
- Minor pressure fluctuations
If discoloration occurs, please run cold water faucets for several minutes until the water runs clear.
Tuesday – March 3, 2026, from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
CRRUA will conduct a controlled operational test (“dry run”) to ensure the system can be safely isolated.
Customers may experience:
- Temporary low water pressure
- Brief service fluctuations
Wednesday – March 4, 2026 – Beginning at 10:00 p.m.
CRRUA will perform the planned water main repair, and the Meadow Vista Subdivision and possibly nearby areas will experience a temporary water service interruption.
The duration of the outage is currently unknown. Service will be restored as soon as repairs are safely completed.
Customer Preparation Recommendations:
- Store an adequate supply of water in advance for drinking and household needs
- Limit water use prior to the scheduled shutdown
After Service is Restored:
- Temporary discoloration, cloudy water, or air in plumbing may occur
- Run cold water faucets for 5–10 minutes until water runs clear
If repair schedules or affected areas change, CRRUA will notify customers through the CRRUA website, social media, and the City Connect mobile application. CRRUA appreciates your patience and cooperation as we perform these necessary repairs to maintain reliable water service.
